It is always a wise thing to discuss a number
of things with your doctor before commencing the generic Propecia (Finasteride) (Japanese : プロペシア )
therapy. These include: speak to your doctor if you have history of allergic
reaction to Finasteride or to similar medications such as Dutasteride or
Avodart. Also inform your doctor if you suffer from any of the following ailments:
prostate cancer, liver disease or unusual liver enzyme tests, a bladder muscle
disorder, difficulty urination, or stricture of your urethra.
Women, particularly pregnant women and
children should not consume or handle generic Propecia (Finasteride) tablets.
This medication is specified for use by adult men only. Propecia is included in the FDA Pregnancy Category X that
signifies its harmfulness on an unborn baby. It may cause serious birth defects
in an unborn male baby. Though a
whole tablet is not considered to be harmful until it is taken orally, pregnant
women and women who may become pregnant should not be exposed to broken or
crushed pills at any cost. Propecia (Finasteride) has the tendency to be
absorbed through the skin. It is
still to be confirmed whether Propecia passes into breast milk. However, this
generic drug is not meant for nursing women.
